Master plan and architectural design for visitation and environmental education facilities at San Agustin Archaeological Park, Colombia (main Colombian archaeological site and World Heritage Site) for Colombian Ministry of Culture and FONTUR

San Agustín Archaelogical Park and World Heritage Site, located in the Department of Huila in southern Colombia, has experienced a significant rise in the number of visitors in recent years. This has created the need for a readequation and adaptation of the park to the present museographical, architectural and tourism demands and requirements. This is the origin of the international bidding process organized by FONTUR (National Tourism Fund of Colombia) and ICANH (Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History). Arq. Ceballos-Lascurain, in association with ARQVITAT, S.A.S., participated in this bidding process, having won it and thus being granted Consultancy Contract FNT-66-2015. The total area of the park is 115 hectares.
